Dear ICC member,
After thoughtful consideration, the ICC Board of Directors has given notice to Imam Senad Agic that his services will be terminated effective February 16, 2011. In the interim, Imam Senad Agic has been placed on paid administrative leave.
Please be assured that all activities of the Center will continue uninterrupted. The ICC Board of Directors has already arranged for the weekly Friday Khutbah and prayer, the Sunday Dhuhr prayer, the ICC Saturday School, the ICC Sunday School, the ICC interfaith efforts, and the ICC lectures series to take place on time and as usual.
His Excellency Dr. Mustafa ef. Ceric has agreed to send us a new permanent Bosnian Imam who will be named soon.
It is significant to note that the ICC Board members are non-paid volunteers who have been duly elected by the ICC membership. The ICC Board members recognize and honor the fact that the membership has entrusted us with the responsibility to protect the Center and its members, to insure the Center’s orderly operation, and to maintain adherence to the Center’s mission. In order to fulfill these important responsibilities to the ICC, the ICC Board has made
the difficult decision to end Imam Senad’s service at the ICC.
The Board offered Imam Senad Agic a generous severance package that included interim continued wages and health insurance coverage in order to assist him in making a transition as his services to the ICC conclude. Imam Senad Agic presently has an opportunity to review and consider that offer.
We would like to thank Imam Senad for his past service at the ICC and wish him well in his future endeavors.
It is important to remember that, as Muslims, our foremost duty is to worship only Allah (SWT) and to work for the sake of Allah (SWT) and not for the sake of any individual no matter who he is.
Your support during this time is needed and appreciated in order to preserve our unity. May Allah Bless you and May Allah guide us all to do what is right.
